The storms struck Friday with wind gusting to 60 mph. A woman and her 2vyear-old son died when a flood swept her car off a low-water crossing in- Fort Worth, Fire Department Lt. Kent Worley said. Firefighters were searching for the womans l2-year-old son, who rela tives said was with her.

About 50 miles southeast of Dallas, a vehicle stalled on a low-water crossing was swept away along with two children, ages 1 and 2. Their father was trying to get them out when the water earned the vehicle away.
