Calling all U.S. facilities and office operations professionals! Rheaply is conducting a research project in collaboration with a leader in electrical and digital building infrastructures to understand the demand for used audiovisual (A/V) products (projector screens, mounts, rolling carts, cameras, speakers, etc.).If you work in a for-profit, nonprofit, K-12, or higher education organization, this survey is for you! If you don't work in facilities and office operations but still want to contribute to our research advancing reuse efforts, then please share this with your colleagues who do. The goal of this research is to understand organizations' interests in procuring used A/V equipment. The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete, and you will gain exclusive access to the announcement of an A/V reuse program if launched. Your organization could also have the opportunity to be featured in a marketing story with a major product manufacturer.Survey link: https://lnkd.in/edcMiNeU#reuse #circulareconomy #operations

At the start of every year, I always look forward to discovering new webinars. Among the many webinars I've signed up for, there's one that stands out, and I genuinely recommend attending it: the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s webinar on Developing a Label Program for Low Embodied Carbon Construction Materials on Feb. 1st.If you haven't registered already, this event dives into the EPA's draft plan for developing a label program for construction materials and products with low embodied greenhouse gas emissions. It's a great opportunity to learn about one of the many efforts in play from the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.You can easily reserve your spot here: https://lnkd.in/erB3FrfJIf you're interested in similar events, mark your calendar for Feb. 8th and join the EPA's webinar on Product Category Rules for EPDs: https://lnkd.in/eCGSMsAj#embodiedcarbon #epa #circulareconomy

🌿 How sustainable is your favorite sport? The latest Sustainable Sport Index Benchmarking Report from APTIM highlights some fascinating insights. I came across this table breaking down Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions with improvements and solutions specific to the sports industry. While supplier procurement policies are mentioned as a solution, reuse is notably missing from the Scope 3 category. 👀The report highlights a wide range of waste diversion rates for sports venues, ranging from 7% to an impressive 99%. However, the focus primarily revolves around facility waste from daily operations, leaving minimal coverage on construction and demolition waste. I strongly believe that future reports should address deconstruction and reuse solutions to address C&D waste. 🚧Calling all sports facilities! If you're eager to explore how you can maximize asset utilization, source more pre-owned durable goods, and responsibly manage goods you no longer need, please comment below. Share your challenges in this space, and let's see if Rheaply can lend a hand. ⚽️ 🌎 🏀Report Link: https://lnkd.in/dsBC27Cp#sportsbusiness #circulareconomy #reuse

If you've experienced an extreme flooding event, wildfire, hurricane, or drought in your community, you know it's costly to recover from the damage. The Biden-Harris Administration released the Fifth National Climate Assessment this week. It's been five years since the last assessment. The findings speak to the cost of climate change and the direction that the U.S. is trending. Three findings:1️⃣ Severe weather events cost the U.S. $150 billion each year and this is a conservative estimate... 2️⃣ The impact of these severe events disproportionately affects underserved and overburdened communities. Something we have known for a long time but should remain top of mind. 3️⃣ U.S. greenhouse gas emissions are declining, despite population and GDP growth. A key contributor to this decline is the transition to clean energy - in 2020, 80% of new energy-generation capacity came from clean energy.https://lnkd.in/gi68i7DS#climate #energy

Five years ago, I started my circular economy career in NYC. We were tasked to quantify how much reuse was happening across the five boroughs and the environmental impact of that reuse. It's amazing to return full circle with the launch of Rheaply's NYC Reuse Marketplace, sponsored by Google. If your business or non-profit is interested in selling, donating or sourcing building materials, furniture, equipment and other corporate goods, then this marketplace is for you. Please check it out! https://lnkd.in/gEm__xhW#nyclimateweek #circulareconomy #reuse
