What was Dune rated on Rotten Tomatoes? ›

Dune: Part Two focused much more on crafting an immersive and resonating story, resulting in a captivating plot that can stand on its own against the striking special effects. Although Dune has an excellent 83 percent score on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, critics had some problems with the first film.

Nine Days is a 2020 American fantasy drama film written and directed by Edson Oda in his feature debut.

It is haunting, thought provoking and beautifully animated and would have scored a 10/10 if it had just been written more towards older viewers. A fantastic idea, lovingly animated.

Content collapsed. Though it wasn't the best movie musical, Nine certainly had its moments. Content collapsed. A painfully formulaic message, trite dialogue, and a strangely episodic narrative structure that renders the whole thing exhausting.

As movies, I think both are great: the cinematography is amazing, the sound design is good, the acting is good, I liked the visual style and how they interpreted the various technologies of the world of Dune.

Fighting Based On Revenge Erupts Throughout The Film

While Dune Part One opts for setup, leading to little action sequences of note, Dune Part Two fully incorporates battles that see Paul progress from being the duke's son to Lisan al Gaib, the savior of the Fremen.

Although the battles are between ragdoll-like creatures and robots instead of humans and aren't gory, they can be quite intense and scary. There are also disturbing images of a machine being beheaded, characters having their life force sucked out of them, explosions, and other moments of intense, suspenseful peril.

No plans for a sequel have been made, but possibilities were mentioned via the film's 2009 DVD commentary.

9 reunites with the other Stitchpunks and decides to sacrifice himself so the others can retrieve the talisman. Having had a change of heart, 1 redeems himself by saving 9, pushing him out of the way and allowing himself to be absorbed while 9 removes the talisman.

When 9 (Elijah Wood) springs to life, it finds itself in a post-apocalyptic world where humans no longer exist, and the only signs of life are sentient rag dolls like itself and the machines that hunt them. Though it is the youngest of the group, 9 convinces comrades that the only way to survive against the machines is to stop hiding, go on the offensive, and find out why the machines want to destroy them. As 9 and the group learn, civilization hinges on their success or failure.

From the stunning visuals, state of the art CGI, production design, and cinematography, to good performances from a stellar cast and a great score, this is one amazing movie. Sure, the film won't satisfy everyone's palate, and if you're not a sci-fi/fantasy fan, 'Dune' will not appeal to you.

Sci Fi Classic, but deserving of it's 13 rating

This is definitely deserving of it's PG-13 rating. But, it certainly doesn't deserve to be 18+, with adult films, out of sheer hom*ophobia. There isn't really anything other than a undertone for one character, as mentioned previously.
